We collected ornaments shaped like kitty cats.:-) And of course, no holiday would be complete without the traditional search for the one light that made them all go out. Looking back at the pictures some of them were pretty sad, but they always seemed so magical at the time.N.J.Waltershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18099894498766052188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30115861.post-67998365069870887472010-12-08T12:05:41.214-04:002010-12-08T12:05:41.214-04:00Happy Holidays, Virginia! Not like nowadays with tons of lights. lol

I loved opening the boxes of glass ornaments. When I was a kid we didn't have a tree but about four or five years that I remember so I determined to have one every year when I married. I have a few very old glass balls we inherited from my in-laws. And like you, most of my ornaments have specific memories or meaning to us.

Thanks for sharing your memories.anny cookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03769733659120481918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30115861.post-85258375099138713442010-12-08T10:08:03.935-04:002010-12-08T10:08:03.935-04:00Hi, NJ! We had the glass ornaments in the sectioned boxes, the big (really hot) lights with the reflectors, the silver icicles and so on : ) I love it all--and I put it all on the tree. It brings back so many memories! It might look like a jumbled mess to someone else, but to me, it looks perfect!Virginia Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09960370038323930029noreply@blogger.com
