Samhain's blog hates me, so I'll comment here. *g* I love the holidays. It's about food and family around here, and just relaxing. We opted out of the hype and pressure early on in our marriage, and we like it that way.
I asked my five year old what she wanted for Christmas this morning; she said, "A Christmas tree!" She's got her priorities straight.

Hubby and I are low-key at the holidays too. Takes the pressure off. Plus, the only thing we really need is to be together over the holidays.
LOL I love your daughter's answer. Obviously you've raised her right!
