On The Road

Last week, hubby and I took a short trip to visit family. It was only overnight, but getting away was nice. We drove the backroads instead of the highway. It took us almost two hours, instead of one, to get to our destination, but it was a much nicer drive. I enjoy looking at the trees, the ocean and the occassion goat or horse. We arrived much more relaxed. And it gave us time to talk, which is always nice.

The calendar may say it's spring, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the countryside. Most of the trees are still bare, and I didn't see any flowers that have been brave enough to poke their heads up out of the ground yet. But that will change...hopefully soon.

This summer, we're hoping to take a few more roadtrips. Short ones for sure, but the only way to get a break from work when you work from home is to leave it and the computer behind. I wonder where we'll go...

That's the best kind of travel. Freeway/Interstate driving is boring and so fast that you don't see much.

House hunk and I are hoping to do some short term weekend traveling when it gets just a bit warmer!

Getting out is the only way to get away from work! Good for you. We need to do more of that this year, too.
