I have an awful cold. The kind of cold that makes you feel like razor blades are in the back of your throat. I went to my doctor today who said because it's a virus it has to just run its course. So, in the spirit of Health day, I have a question. How come we have a cure for men who want to get an erection, in fact three of em, but after all these years, we still can't cure the common cold?

I'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling well, Kathy. It is amazing the amount of money and research that goes into some areas of health and not into others.

The common cold still has to run its course. Orange juice, soup, and rest are the best cures I know.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

The real answer is that a common cold doesn't keep men from having sex. If it did, there would be a cure.

Fantastic topic for awareness. It's truly amazing how much illness can be prevented just by proper handwashing! (BTW, there's a great soap for kids out that comes in a Squid squirt bottle; when the squid ink washes away, you've washed hands long enough to do it right.)
