Quote of the Week!

"Talent is helpful in writing, but guts are absolutely necessary."

~Jessamyn West

It takes guts to sit at a keyboard for days, weeks and months, not knowing if anyone else will ever read your book. There is no one telling you to do it. You have to do it yourself.

Then comes the rejection. Every writer has faced rejection. It takes guts to keep sending out a book and facing more rejection. It takes courage to sit back down and start the next book.

Being a writer is a fabulous profession, but it's not an easy one. :-)

Cool today. Sitting here with the patio door wide open... Niiiice.

Still working away here. You're right. Nobody makes us do it, but here we are typing away.

I guess if writing was easy none of us would want to do it. :)

One thing we often don't realize as an aspiring writer is that the rejections don't stop as soon as we're published. Along with the sales, there are still a few rejections. *wry grin*
