Welcome To Autumn

Welcome to Autumn!

Fall is actually my favorite time of year. I love the crisp, sunny days and the way the leaves turn color. Then there is Thanksgiving and Halloween--two wonderful holidays!

I'm not fond of the fact that it means winter is almost here, but I enjoy autumn for what it is--a time of change, endings and new beginnings.

On this first day of fall, I can say that I'm still on track with my program to get more exercise and try and find some balance in my life. It's not easy, but I'm hanging in there. I went for about five long walks last week and got in four days with my yoga workout tape. Not too bad. Now if I could only cut back on the junk food...

This week's challenge will be to keep it up. Weeks 1 & 2 were filled with excitement and hope, but by week three that is tapering off and it's harder to keep on exercising. But I'm determined.

Wish me luck!

Good morning, Deb and Sarabelle, and welcome to fall.

I can see a hillside from the office window and I love to watch it change color as the weeks of September flow into October.

I hope both of you have a wonderful day!

Well, winter is my favorite season but I do love the Fall colors. And of course the cooler temps. It will be really nice to say goodbye to 100 degree temps with heat indexes in the 120's. 60's and 70's are way more comfortable and I can open the windows and back door to let in the fresh air. My cats love sitting at the screens and watching the birds. Of course, if I understood what they were saying I'd probably turn bright red with embarrassment.:-)

I love the fall colors too, Kathy. Although, I can't imagine temperatures that high in fall. LOL There's definitely a nip in the air here.

LOL I know, Tempest. Not much longer to Halloween!

Thanks. I'm trying to keep exercising. LOL Although it's not always easy. :-)

I noticed the leaves were starting to change color just before we came home. I'm looking forward to spring, which is my favorite season.

I'm also getting back into an exercise routine. It always seems so easy when you think about it. The actual "doing" isn't quite as easy!

*Hides cupcakes* Good for you, NJ. And I love fall, too. Bring on the pumpkins!

LOL That's the truth, Shelley. I've been thinking about it for a long time. *g* But I've been exercising for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I figure it has to be good for me.

LOL It will do you no good to hide the cupcakes...I will find them.

I'm trying exercise and portion control because I know I won't give up the occassional cookie or cupcake. Ya gotta live.

I love this time of year...the colors, the pumpkins, the food. LOL

Thanks, Anny!

The leaves are starting to turn here. Not much, but enough to know that autumn is here.
