Happy Yule!

The Winter Solstice is upon us. It's the shortest day, or longest night depending on how you look at it, of the year.

From this day onward, the light will begin to return slowly, but surely, as we head toward spring.

For now, winter has arrived with all its snowy magesty.

Light a candle, sit back and enjoy. Take a moment to reflect on the season past and the one just beginning.

Me I personally like winter and enjoy the night. I'm totally a night owl. And I love cold weather. You can always put on enough clothes to keep warm, but even if you go naked you can't get cool in summer without the help of air conditioning.

Well, it's hot and sunny here and hopefully it will be like that tomorrow for Christmas day. Have a wonderful holiday, NJ, and all the best for 2008.

I'll admit that I'm not fond of cold weather, Kathy. I definitely favor summer. And I'm not a night owl either. LOL I'm ready for bed by half past ten or so. *g*

Enjoy your nice hot Christmas, Shelley! Wishing you and your family the best for 2008.
