Scrooge

It's not what you think.

I'm not in a bah humbug mood. But I was. *g*

Hubby and I took in a local production of Scrooge this past Friday evening. I watch the movie every year--several versions. But it's different live. No matter how many times you see it performed, each one is special.

The children have such fun and are so into their performance. They combine the traditional story with songs from the musical versions to create something special. I have to say that Jacob Marley was particularly good in this year's version. A lot of energy for a ghost.

Taking in local performances, plays or Christmas pageants is a good way to get into the holiday spirit.

I love Scrooged it is so funny. I also love Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. I watch both of those every year at Christmas time. We just got a new Christmas DVD that is also really funny called Shrek The Halls.

Scrooged is great and so is Christmas Vacation. Hubby and I watched that movie last week.

I saw Shrek the Halls last year. It was fun. I love watching holiday movies.

I'm hoping they'd have some signed performances so I could attend. I do love to go to a play at the theater in Rochester NY because they have the Sunshine Too, where its performances in sign language (and in voice for hearing people) so that everyone can enjoy them! I go maybe twice a year to see a performance except recently being unable to go. But so can't wait to go again. I'd love to see a Christmas theme one, I'll have to watch for a performance there for next year. I'm not much of a movie person either but we love to watch the comedy Christmas ones together and its something that even as we are all 'adults' now, there's still that kid in us all that loves these movies. I swear we see National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation every year, LOL. So shall be getting rentals for that for Christmas eve for the four of us her (hubby, me, and my two Children home!) Have a wonderful one!
PS thanks on the SHREK THE HALLS. I must find that one!!!

Hey, Cathy.

I hope you do get to go to a holiday performance. Live theatre is fun.

Hubby and I are movie folks too. We love going out to the movie, although we don't go as much as we used to because of the cost.
