Hello To Spring!

Today is the Vernal Equinox, although looking out the window at the banks of snow it's hard to believe that spring has finally arrived.

This year is a very unique one as today is the first day of spring or Ostara, tomorrow is Good Friday, and there is a full moon as well. This is a magical time of year when winter finally starts to release the iron grip it has on the land. The days get longer and warmer. Grass appears from beneath the patches of snow and the first flowers peek their heads tentatively above the ground.

So whatever your beliefs, enjoy today. Spring is in the air. And that means that summer is not far behind!

Happy spring! Crocuses and daffodils are blooming here, and trees and shrubs are budding like crazy.

We haven't really had a winter here. A couple days here and there of cold weather has been it. And I hate summer. It gets too hot here and because we are right by the ocean, too humid as well. But I do like spring. All the trees start sprouting leaves and the cherry trees grow beautiful pink blossoms. It's a pretty time of the year.

Crocuses and daffodils sound beautiful, Charli. We've got another 6-8 weeks yet until we see them here.

I'll bet the cherry tree blossoms are beautiful, Kathy. I've had more than enough winter. :-)

Happy Spring, Anny. This is the closest I'm going to get to flowers for a while yet. *g*
