2016 in Review

2016 has been a year of ups and downs in the world and my year has been no different. With the year waning and the new one about to begin, I’d like to focus on some of the great things that happened for me in 2016!

I had 6 older books updated and rereleased.

Beyond the Page rereleased my Summersville Secrets trilogy—Uncovering Annabelle, Enticing Emma, and Lily’s List. They all got new titles and wonderful new covers. Beyond the Page is also contracted to rerelease my Dalakis Passion vampire series in 2016. They’ll all be updated and receive new covers. I’m very excited about this.

Carina Press rereleased the Project Alpha trilogy—Embracing Silence, Assassin’s Awakening, and Alpha’s Revenge. Two of the books got new titles, but all three were updated and got amazing new covers.

I also had three Salvation Pack books released in 2016—Wolf on the Hunt, Wolf on a Mission, and Wolf in his Heart. Look for Wolf in her Soul (Feb 2017) and Wolf of her Own (May 2017). Samhain Publishing also released the three novellas in my Hades’ Carnival series in one volume, both ebook and print.

I also signed with a new publisher in 2016. Entangled Publishing took a chance on my idea for a drakon shapeshifter series and released the first book—Drakon’s Promise—in December 2016. What a wonderful way to end the year! Watch for more drakon books in 2017.

On the personal side of things, I took a trip with my brother. We’re both big baseball fans and I’d never seen a game in person, so we hopped on a plane and flew to Toronto for a long weekend. (I find travel intimidating and never would have done it without him.) We hit the Royal Ontario Museum, Hockey Hall of Fame (we’re big hockey fans too), and Kensington Market. Of course, we saw a baseball game and the Blue Jays won!

It was a whirlwind trip, but I loved every second of it. To cap it off, when we were waiting for a connecting flight, we ran into Daryl Sittler and Lanny McDonald at the airport. We both grew up watching them play for the Toronto Maple Leafs! We got our pictures taken with them. Best trip ever!

I also went on a two-night road trip with my sister. That was more about driving down every back road and stopping at every beach along the way. It was an awesome trip. I loved our time together.

So these are the highlights of my 2016. I have high hopes for 2017. I wish you and your family the best for the coming year.
