New Drakon Book!

Drakon's Tear is out today! I'm so excited for the latest book in my Blood of the Drakon series.

I guess I'm just lucky like that.

The only person I trust even a little is Vasili Zima, which is weird since I’m not sure if he wants to kill me or protect me. I'm drawn to him in a way I hadn't thought possible, and he feels the same way, or he wouldn't be risking his life to help me. He's wanted by the bad guys just as much as I am, and staying with me, well, there's a hundred percent chance I'm about to get us both killed. But I will not be going down without a fight.

His heart pumped hard in his chest, and his lungs expanded with each breath he took. He met her gaze. “You are mine.”

Weekend Book Club--Archangel's Prophecy by Nalini Singh

Anyone who knows me knows I am a HUGE fan of Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series, so I was so very excited for the release of ARCHANGEL'S PROPHECY.

This book is everything you'd expect and want. It has action, suspense, an intricate storyline, and of course, a love story for the ages. As much as I love the books about Raphael's Seven, I love when the series goes back around to Elena and Raphael.

This was an emotional read and I thoroughly enjoy it...until I got to the end and was left of a huge cliff-hanger. To me, this makes this book more urban fantasy than romance. Now I just have to start counting off the days until the next book is released. I'll be first in line at the bookstore to buy it.

Guy Fawkes Night...

Today is Guy Fawkes Night, aka bonfire night. If you're having a bonfire, please be safe. It's a strange holiday. It goes back to November 5, 1605 when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested while placing explosives beneath the House of Lords in London. It had all kinds of political and religious implications at the time. I remember it as the night of the community bonfire when I was a kid.
