Weekend Book Club--Rocky Mountain Search and Rescue series by Katie Ruggle

Over the holidays I got sucked into Katie's Ruggle's Rocky Mountain Search and Rescue series. I found one of them through a BookBub ad and ended up buying the other three and downloading the two free novellas bookending the rest of the series. And I wasn't disappointed!

These books feature real heroes--a search and rescue diver, firefighter, sheriff's deputy, and my personal favorite a mountain man named George, who is an expert in search and rescue, rarely speaks, and will steal your heart.

Celebrate World Book Day

Today is the birthday of one of the most beloved authors of all times--Theodore Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss.

I don't know if there are many kids who haven't been exposed to his genius. His stories make you laugh. They help your imagination take flight. And most of all, they make reading fun.

The very first book I learned to read on my own was One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. I can still remember that sense of accomplishment. It set me on my lifelong love affair with reading.

So thank you Dr. Seuss from the bottom of my heart.
