Thursday Thirteen #17

Thirteen Things I've Done In The Past Week.

Be sure and leave your link below!

1. Went to Walmart. It was time to buy socks, underwear, tea, chocolate and other exciting stuff.

2. Visited the bookstore 3 times--I like to browse--and ordered book 3 in the Immortals series by Joy Nash. This is a four book series by authors Jennifer Ashley, Robin Popp and Joy Nash. The first two books were fantastic.

3. Read Nicole Austin's latest book, Rakahnja's Haven. If you want to know what I thought of it, just check out the post below. :-)

4. Spent an hour on the phone one evening with my sister. (That's actually not too bad.)

5. Had to have the hot water tank replaced when it started to leak.

6. Went to two movies--Stardust and Becoming Jane. Enjoyed both of them! And the M & M's too.

7. Walked around the pond on Sunday morning. (2 km)

8. Grocery shopped. I actually enjoy this as long as I go early in the morning before the store is crowded.

9. Signed a new contract with Ellora's Cave for Lily Blossoms, book 3 of the Summersville Secrets series. YAY!

10. Worked on my latest WIP.

11. Went out for supper one hot evening with my hubby.

12. Got a package in the mail from an author friend with some nice goodies. :-)

13. Spent 3 hours yakking with my brother yesterday afternoon.

That was my past week. Hope your week was just as much fun!

Sounds like a nice week, except the water heater.

We saw Rush Hour 3 this week. It was good, but not as great as the 1st and 2nd.

Even the water heater wasn't so bad, Nic. Got it fixed almost immediately with no hassle. Glad you enjoyed the movie. I've never seen any of that series.

Thanks, Lesley. It's been a great week!

Thanks, Shelley. I figured if I didn't buy them soon I'd lose out to the back-to-school crowd.

Thanks, Charli! I've got the first two books in the Immortals series and it's fantastic!

Ahhh, thanks Rhian. I've very excited about this book!

I know what you mean, Mechele. I only go to Walmart at 8 in the morning. LOL And thanks for the congrats!

It's been a hectic, but wonderful week, Laura. Thanks!

Congrats on the new contracts!! That is fantastic news. :)

I'm the same way with my grocery shopping. I love to go as soon as the stores open - in and out. :)

Walmart is a weekly, usually more, trip for us. It's our grocery store.

I'm so jealous. I want to go bookstore shopping, but we don't have any local. I have to drive out of town to get to one. Thank goodness bookstores are online now, or my collection wouldn't be so big. :)

You have two of my favorite things on your TT list, NJ--shopping for chocolate and books! :-D

I've heard such good things about Stardust and am anxious to go see it.

Big congrats on your new EC book contract!

Congrats on the new contract!

You have been busy;)

Thanks, Christine! I figure the only way to shop and stay sane is to go early, whether it's the grocery store, Walmart or the Mall.

*waving back at Michelle* I used to go to Walmart several times a week before they moved out to their big box store on the edge of town. I take the bus, so it's no longer convenient.

I love browsing the bookstore even if I never buy anything. Does that make me an addict? LOL

Thanks fot the congrats, Daisy. Stardust was a pleasatn surprise as a movie. I enjoyed it. And shopping for books and chocolate--doesn't get much better. *g*

Thanks, Gabriella. And that's not the half of it. LOL

All in all, sounds like a good week! I like the fact that you're chatty with your sibs.
Me and my sister have ridiculously high phone bills with the hours of long-distance chatting we do, but when we see each other in person, we have hardly anything to talk about. How weird is that?!

OMG I went to Wal-Mart today, BIG mistake!! Virginia Tech students came back today, I swear you could get your hand cut off over a toss pillow and the checkout was six miles long!!
